These terms form an agreement between you and the operator of TurnitinGo. By creating an account you accept them.
The service
TurnitinGo lets you upload documents and receive AI detection and similarity reports produced by an independent, contracted analysis provider. TurnitinGo is not affiliated with or endorsed by any detection-software vendor. Report availability, content and processing time depend on the provider, and a report type may be unavailable at times.
What reports are, and are not
Reports are automated analyses to support your own review. They can be wrong. They are not a determination of misconduct, authorship or originality, and should not be the sole basis for any decision about a person.
Your account
- Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep your email address current.
- One person per account. Do not resell access or share your account.
Your documents
You keep all rights in what you upload. You confirm you have the right to upload each document and to have it analysed, and that it does not contain malware or unlawful content. You grant us and our analysis provider the permissions needed to process the document and deliver its reports. Files are deleted on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload documents you are not authorised to share, probe or disrupt our systems, or circumvent usage limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
Credits and payment
- Credits are bought in advance through our payment processors. Prices and currencies are shown before checkout, and the amount charged is the one shown at checkout.
- Credits are reserved when you submit a document and used when a report is delivered. If a report cannot be produced, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change features or these terms; continued use after notice means you accept the changes.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
